Recommend and develop Firewall related infrastructure requirements. Engineer and plan Firewall and network specifications

This position is responsible for planning, design, engineering, support and management of firewall security Infrastructure on a 24x7 enterprise network.

Key Responsibilities:
? Design, configure, test, and maintain security infrastructure and related services
? Provide 24x7 production support for both Checkpoint firewalls and Fortigate UTMs.
? Proactively manage and monitor the overall production stability of firewall infrastructure and security services.
? Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation 
? Analyze, design and implement firewall rule changes to meet business needs.
? Serve as a security infrastructure SME to work with business areas and project teams to design security infrastructure solutions.
? Identify, diagnose, and resolve firewall and network access problems.
? Design, establish and support VPN connections to remote locations and third party vendors
? Develop and maintain system configurations for all Security Infrastructure
? Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented infrastructure.
? Participate in planning, coordination, and implementation of security measures for information systems to regulate access to computer data files and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure of information
? Daily maintenance, problem resolution, firewall system patches and software upgrades, and routine hardware configuration. 
? Develop metrics to manage and track KPIs such as availability and performance. 
? Implement all changes following established Change review and testing process.
? Respond to all production and security issues promptly with a sense of urgency

Technical Skills:
? 2-3 years experience in security with a strong appreciation of security principles.
? Familiar with firewall management, monitoring and reporting.
? Knowledge and proficiency in designing, engineering, configuring, and maintenance of large enterprise firewalls such as Checkpoint Firewalls and/or Fortinet UTMs.
? 2-3 years experience analyzing and implementing complex firewall rules on Checkpoint firewalls or Fortigate security devices.
? Demonstrated ability to analyze network traffic flows to reverse-engineer the required firewall ports and rules to allow secure access of applications.
? Technical ability to troubleshoot firewall problems in a large enterprise involving complex network application flows between multiple hosts spanning multiple firewalls/security zones and different geographic locations.
? Proven hands-on experience with firewalls and knowledge of IP networking and network security including Intrusion Detection, DMZ, encryption, IPsec, PKI, VPNs, MPLS/VPN, Site to Site VPN tunnels, SSL/VPN, proxy services, and DNS.
? 2-3 years experience with Cisco routers and switches, and a good understanding of IP subnetting and routing such OSPF and BGP.
? Experience with Symantec SEP, SNORT, Tufin, Firemon, Websense, Varonis, NetIQ SCM, RF Protect wireless monitoring, and Open Service are desirable.
? Solid understanding of how to troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues that involve firewalls, networks, and applications.
