The IT Architect is involved in all aspects of developing and maintaining the logical and physical data model for our operational and business intelligence environments.
The primary focus of this position is on the overall design of data for the operational data warehouse (including data marts).
The incumbent is responsible for analyzing business requirements, developing logical and physical data models and collaborating with data subject matter experts.
The IT Architect builds strong partnerships with customers to ensure that selected solutions satisfy their requirements.
The selected individual will serve as a team leader in the integration of solutions, construction of data warehouse applications and development of new business opportunities.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline or the equivalent technical training and work experience required.
A minimum of 10 years of Information Technology experience required with 5 years of direct involvement in the Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence domain.
Required experience includes: designing new architecture for data warehousing and reporting; conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling; developing and executing BI strategy - aligning technology to business needs; successfully managed Business Intelligence IT teams; extensive Project and Program management with a specialization in data warehouse, data delivery, master data across hybrid operational environments; ability to partner and build relationships with Senior Management; ability to communicate to multiple audiences; and, experience in helping drive hard cost savings for IT.
Master data and governance knowledge and experience preferred as well as work with data related technologies and tools such as Hyperion, Oracle OBIEE, Informatica, SQL Server 2005, Essbase and Erwin strongly preferred.
Candidates must be highly self-motivated and results-oriented. |
